The best shield size will fit snugly around your nipple, with no areola.
We know it can be confusing figuring out shield sizing, so we really recommend you get in touch if you need fitting help.

The Pumpables app allows you to operate your SuperGenie pump from your phone.
Set up a schedule, record a favorite program, and discover insights. Once you're ready to pump, just hit 'Play' on the Pumpables app and your pump will run through your programmed settings automatically. You can even import popular programs from other users!

Which breastshields can I use with SuperGenie?
So long as your shield system is a closed system, you should be able to make it work. We always encourage you to check your shield sizing even if you intend to use your own kit, because we find that many, many pumpers use shields that are too large.
Examples of compatible shields are Spectra, YouHa cups, Legendiary Milk cups, Freemie SlimFit, and more.
Please don't use open system shields like the older Medela cups unless you add in a backflow protector. Otherwise your pump may get milk into it and die and this will not be covered by warranty and we will all be sad 😢.
How do I know which shield size to choose?
So first of all, we fit hundreds of pumpers per week through our Fitting Room, so if you don't feel confident working out your size alone, let us help.
Download our measuring tool, and then measure your nipple. The best size will fit closely around your nipple snugly.
Can I buy with FSA / HSA cards?
You sure can! Sometimes we notice FSA / HSA cards decline - they shouldn't! If that happens, ring your provider. Let us know if we can help.
Should I buy SuperGenie or Genie Advanced?
SuperGenie has a heavy duty motor, which means it's suitable as your primary workhorse AND it's capable of super fast cycle speeds (up to 104 cpm in letdown mode 💨. Which btw, is faster than your current breast pump for sure 😎).
SuperGenie does have more of a 'staccato' type feel to it, whereas Genie Advanced has slower pulls.
SuperGenie also has that advantage of integration with the Pumpables app, allowing you to access programs from other users, store your own programs and run your pump from your phone handsfree.
Ultimately this comes down to whether you're prioritizing performance or portability. Sometimes you need a laptop, and sometimes you can get things done on your phone. It's kinda similar with SuperGenie versus Genie Advanced. Make sense?
Does insurance cover this pump?
We don't have direct coverage via insurance yet. Give your provider a call and check if they'll reimburse a purchase. We'll send you an invoice that you can submit to your provider after you buy and do what we can to make things easy 💁.
What do I do if I need to change size?
If you're using Liquid Kit, this is too easy. All you need to do is switch out the Liquid insert from your kit, and replace it with a new insert in the new size.
The only part of Liquid Kit that ever changes size is the actual insert - everything else is the same. So if you need to change size, you only change the insert. Super easy & wallet-friendly.
What's included with SuperGenie?
If you choose the 'Just SuperGenie' option you'll receive SuperGenie + charger.
If you choose to add on Liquid Kit in your preferred size, you'll receive two full sets of Liquid Kit including bottles, shields, inserts, tubing, bottle stand - everything required to double pump.

I love this pump. I received another pump for free through insurance but was having issues getting milk out. I used the virtual fitting room through Pumpables and had an awesome experience, which made me turn around and buy the pump. Even the hospital grade pump is pretty small, and light. I carry it around while I pump and work on other things! I really love the programs and night light feature too. 10/10 would recommend!

I am an exclusively pumping mama and loved the Medela Symphony I was discharged with from the hospital. However, I'm going back to work soon and planning a lot of trips and the Medela Symphony is just too bulky to be carrying around. I was reading that the SuperGenie was somewhat comparable so I decided to try it and I am so happy I did! I love how small the machine is and the best part is I don’t have to be hooked up to a wall anymore! I love how I can program it to be similar to the Medela as well. Also, I feel like the liquid inserts massage my breast while pumping vs using a traditional hard plastic flange! Therefore, it’s easier to get more milk out and I don’t have to massage it myself anymore. Highly recommend this pump to anyone!

The PGA nor the Super Genie worked for me. It’s not as fast as it claims to be. The liquid shields are great but the pump is subpar.

I purchased this pump in September 2023 so I have had more than enough time to give an honest review. THE GOOD: -the convenience of the user-provided and custom programs takes all of the thought out of constantly changing settings during a pump. -the suction is decent compared to the spectra gold that I was using prior -the battery life is decent -the pump is smaller compared to most hospital grade pumps making it a great portable option THE BAD: -the Bluetooth connectivity is very poor. Any time I mistakenly moved the pump more than 2 feet from my phone, the Bluetooth would disconnect. This is especially inconvenient in the middle of a power pump as the pump does not retain the program in use once disconnected from Bluetooth. There were countless times that I had to manually change the settings to finish a pump, which became incredibly frustrating -the app is super also poor, at best, repeatedly freezing and failing to connect to the pump -I started having issues with the pump spontaneously malfunctioning about a month and an half after its purchase. The pump wouldn't respond to the power button and if it did, the timer would run without the ability to use any other functions (suction, programs, settings). A warranty claim was filed but because the issues occurred spontaneously without cause and they required video and photo evidence of the malfunction, I was essentially forced to wait until I was left without a functioning pump before they would even consider issuing a replacement. Thankfully, I was able to document the malfunction and nurse the pump long enough to receive a replacement. -when I finally received a replacement pump, it was only a month later that it too began malfunctioning. This time, the issue was with the power cord - it would need to be firmly held into an outlet or plug for it to work and it sounded like it was arching. Another warranty claim was filed but unfortunately it was too late, the power cord lost complete functionality and would not charge the battery at all. As an exclusive pumper, there is nothing more stressful than being stuck without a reliable pump!! I was forced to make a late night run to target for a new $200 pump because the super genie failed me for a SECOND time!!! What they don’t tell you is that their power cord is THE ONLY power cord that will work for this pump so if you’re going to buy this unreliable pump, do yourself a favor and buy a spare (or two) power cord as well! I really enjoy the convenience of creating custom programs that run on auto with this pump but when feeding my baby depends on my ability to pump, I have to choose reliability over convenience. Unfortunately for Pumpables, the Spectra S1 gets my vote where reliability is concerned. The super genie has left me down one too many times!!! Considering the price point, there should definitely be more quality assurance checks in place.

I have elastic tissue and always had a hard time pumping. I tried every thing from a 25mm flange all the way to a 17mm. It was always uncomfortable and I felt like I wasn’t getting the best output. My nipples would always be sore and painful constantly. After using the liquid shields all of that changed! I feel like I have the perfect size and it’s no longer uncomfortable to pump! My nipples healed up and feel back to normal. The Super Genie itself is amazing! I love how I can just run a program from the app and not have to manually change the speeds throughout my session. I feel super spoiled now because the thought of having to manually control a pump now is such a downgrade! I’m loving this pump, the suction, the app, and the liquid shields. Customer service is also awesome! Overall a great experience and has become my main pump.

I can’t get enough of pumpables! This is my third time breastfeeding and I wish I would have had these pumps with my first baby. The SuperGenie is a bit different than most pumps because of how many possible combinations you can do with vacuum/cycles so there was a learning curve for me. Once I figured out what program worked for me it was a game changer! I love that you can program the pump or choose programs other people have made! You don’t have to keep fiddling with the settings, you just press start and go If you’re considering the SuperGenie I absolutely recommend it! The portability of the pump is a exclusive pumpers dream ❤️
